Text & Display Subfamilies The two subfamilies differ in more than small details. A few letters change their appearance completely between the two.

Optimizations The ink traps and the strong tapering in the Text version prevent ink and pixel bleeding, avoiding spotty text color in small sizes.

Vertical Proportions The Display subfamily has slightly larger counters, a feature which gives those styles a static look.

Characteristic Elements Diagonal cuts open the apertures in the Text version, giving the typeface a more dynamic character. The more static nature of the Display subfamily is supported by its horizontal and diagonal stroke endings.

Extended Cyrillic Support GT Eesti comes in Standard (Latin only) and Pro (Latin & Cyrillic) packages.

Bulgarian Cyrillic GT Eesti uses the appropriate alternative Bulgarian Cyrillic designs.

OpenType Features Turn all rectangular dots into rounded dots, and use the historical ß for stylistic or historical purposes, or use the alternative v and w with a wider base.
